Welcome the West Cheshire Sailing Club

Clubhouse

Welcome to West Cheshire Sailing Club’s new revamped website. Don’t forget to bookmark this space.
Since we were last online the club has moved forward at a pace. The Regatta has been and gone, and a lovely day it was and enjoyed by all. In fact the Commodore believes that it was the only decent weekend for weather the whole summer.

During the summer months work has been ongoing at the club where extensive repairs have been made to the main club roof, needed due to years of golf ball abuse. The end wall of the Activity Room has been removed and completely renewed, the windows were reinstituted, which makes a world of difference to what was a black hole.

The back meeting room has had a suspended ceiling installed and the old double doors have been removed and replaced with a new section of wall and fire door. Also one of the major front walls of the club was demolished, rebuilt and rendered.

In September we said adieu to one of our younger but active members, Will Little, who is currently sailing around the world in the 07-08 Clipper Race on the Liverpool 08 Clipper. He is having the time of his life and you can keep up with his adventure by clicking on his very own menu item (see left).

In October WCSC hosted the Safety Boat Challenge (see News Item right). And we are proud and chuffed at all the members who came out in force to make this a memorable and very successful day. See you in July folks! Liverpool Culture Company and British Waterways want us back, so watch this space.

The Sailing Committee has got together a list of dates for the Frostbite Series and also for events going on into the summer of next year. Click on the relevant sections in the menu bar for more info will be added regularly.
